Course Aim:

The IELTS Preparation course aims to:

• Familiarise students with all elements of the IELTS test.

• Provide test taking strategies to maximise student band scores.

• Assist students to achieve the band score they need.

Assessment

On entry into the College, the student will take a placement test to determine whether he/she is ready to join an IELTS class and in which areas of the test he/she needs to pay particular attention. Throughout the course students’ progress will be monitored with materials similar to those used in the real test.

Further Study:

Students may sit the IELTS Exam and use their score to satisfy entry requirements for further vocational (5.5 min) or university (6.0) study or as a means of proof of English language proficiency.>
